Introduction

Apostle Scharita Lacey is a gifted visionary leader, author, speaker, philanthropist, and life coach. Her life’s mission is to be a voice for the voiceless and a vessel of positive transformation to all she encounters—for the glory of God. With a heart anchored in the love of Christ and a life fully surrendered to His purpose, Apostle Scharita carries a divine mandate: to uplift, equip,  and release people into their destiny.

She is the proud mother of Sidney and Michael Lacey, whom she considers the greatest joys of her life. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, she now resides in New Jersey and works in Washington, D.C., fulfilling a dual calling in both marketplace leadership and kingdom ministry.

Educational Journey  

Scharita is a proud graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing & Management), graduating cum  laude in 2003. Her poise and leadership were recognized through her titles as Miss College of Business & Industry (2001–2002) and Miss Central State University (2002–2003), laying an early foundation for public influence and civic engagement.

In 2008, she earned her Master of Business Administration, graduating with honors from the  University of Phoenix. Most recently, in May 2025, she obtained a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling with a cognate in Life Coaching from Liberty University, further equipping her for work in pastoral ministry, nonprofit leadership, life coaching, and soul care.

Ministerial Calling and Commission

Apostle Scharita answered the call to ministry in 2001 and was licensed in 2002 under the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W.), where she served faithfully for 16 years as an Associate Minister in her local assembly in Ohio. Her early ministry was characterized by a deep hunger for the Word and truth, a burden for souls, a passionate devotion to worship, and a commitment to serving.

In the last five years, the Lord has expanded and elevated her public ministry offices. She was ordained and affirmed into the fivefold ministry as a Prophet, Pastor, and Apostle under the Contagious Connexion Global Network. Her ministry bears the apostolic mantle, the heart of a shepherd, and the precision of a seer—delivering healing, breakthrough, and prophetic clarity wherever she is sent.

She is also a Certified SYMBIS Marriage Coach, utilizing biblical principles and Spirit-led counsel to help engaged and newly married couples establish a strong, godly foundation for their covenant relationships.

Marketplace Mantle

For over 21 years, Scharita has worked professionally in the federal government, consistently demonstrating excellence in budget management, financial stewardship, human capital, and strategic leadership. She has held high-level roles, including Budget Director, Budget Officer, and Comptroller, stewarding multi-billion-dollar portfolios with precision and integrity.

She dedicated 16 years to the Department of Defense, including overseas assignments with the  U.S. Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency Europe & Africa Command, where she worked abroad. Currently, she works within the United States Congress at the Government  Accountability Office (GAO), overseeing IT infrastructure budget operations.

Even in secular spheres, she walks as a Kingdom ambassador—bringing the fragrance of Christ,  the wisdom of the Spirit, and the excellence of Heaven into every space she enters.

Apostolic Foundation: SLE Global Enterprises

Apostle Scharita has served in the public ministry for 24 years. As a spiritual architect and  apostolic pioneer, she launched SLE Global Enterprises—a global movement committed to  “Inspiring Women, Empowering Lives, and Releasing Hope.”

She is the Founder and Visionary Leader of numerous ministries and organizations, including The Virtuous Women’s Network (2011), Ignite Hope NJ Non-Profit (2015), Life Worship  Ministries (2008), Let the Prophets Speak (2021), The Power of Praise Dance Network Ohio  (2006), SLE Global Consulting & Life Coaching (2010), and Miss Central State University Legacy  Queens Organization (2006). 

She has hosted Summits, Retreats, and Conferences around the country in Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, and virtual seminars and events with hundreds in attendance. Each expression carries the DNA of what God has placed inside her, encompassing advocacy, empowerment, ministry training, apostolic leadership, creative arts, mentorship, and coaching—gifts she is called to do and build in the lives of others on earth.

Through her nonprofit, Ignite Hope, she supports parents and caregivers raising children on the autism spectrum. She is touched personally by this experience, as her son is diagnosed on the spectrum. Through her organization, the Virtuous Women’s Network, she has helped women in crisis and transition, including military veterans and spouses, and survivors of human trafficking,  domestic violence, and breast cancer. Each year, VWN celebrates the achievements of women in business, ministry, and community leadership around the globe and has also awarded scholarships to deserving teenage girls.

Awards and Impact

Apostle Scharita’s faithfulness to ministry, leadership, and service has been recognized with  numerous honors, including:

2025 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Fairfax, Virginia, issued by President Joseph R. Biden, honoring over two decades of faithful service and volunteerism.

2023 Courageous Award Brooklyn, New York, presented by The Lemonade Foundation with citation from the New York City Council, for her philanthropic work in women’s empowerment.

Mayoral Proclamation from the City of Springfield, Ohio (2023), celebrating the 12-year  anniversary of The Virtuous Women’s Network and its mission to empower the lives of women around the globe. 

Mayoral Proclamation from the City of Houston, Texas (2024), presented during a Women’s  Empowerment Summit she organized and hosted, honoring their partnership with a women’s shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma.

Apostle Scharita Lacey is a woman of purpose, power, and unwavering passion—leading multigenerational women to the heart of the Father by restoring their identity, ministering healing and forgiveness, and empowering them to walk boldly in their God-given purpose and gifts.

Her heart of humility, generosity, and kindness leaves an indelible mark on all she encounters.  Her life bears witness to what it truly means to lead with grace and love with the heart of  Christ. Whether in the pulpit or the public space, she carries the oil of wisdom and the fire of revival. Her legacy is not only found in all she has accomplished, but also in the many lives she has transformed and touched.
